This centre is owned and operated by Anna, a qualified teacher and her husband Tom who are both committed to helping your child achieve their true learning potential. With over 31 years experience, Anna has the knowledge and skills to make a real difference to your child's education. Anna has worked with a vast number of students from varying backgrounds and learning needs, including special needs students. Her role has varied from classroom teaching, intervention and extension work with children, to co-ordinating in the areas of literacy and numeracy. She has the knowledge and understanding in cutting edge educational research which has resulted in developing a tutoring centre that offers best teaching practice and learning in both literacy and numeracy. Her passion for learning and teaching is the reason why she owns and operates Aldon Tutoring Centres, Essendon. Her centre has been providing tutoring to students in the local community and surrounding suburbs for over 10 years.

What We Provide
We offer english tutoring to student from prep upto VCE.
English tutoring for our primary students focus on developing literacy skills in reading, writing, spelling, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary development and much more. All lessons for our primary students are personalised and tailored to their individual needs.
English tutoring for students year 7 to 10 focuses on building confidence in the writing and communications area through improving spelling, comprehension, grammar and focusing on student's ability to structure essays. All lessons are personalized allowing focus to be on each student's point of need.
Year 11/12- Focus is on preparing students for their VCE exams.
The following essay structures are focused on :
Text Response and
Expository essay structures.
Students are given the opportunity to discuss, practice and get immediate feedback on their essays. Specific writing techniques are taught to empower students with knowledge and confidence in a warm, supportive and friendly environment where they are encouraged to develop confidence in their own writing abilities. Essay structures and techniques are broken down and practised in small sections before the whole essay is attempted or for those who need consolidation or extension techniques are fine tune and improved on what they already know. Math Prep to year 6
Once we have assessed your child, we establish their point of need. We work on improving times tables knowledge, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, time telling, worded problems. We provide students with techniques and strategies to make sure that each student has simple strategies to move away from using their fingers to work out basic problems. We do this using a variety of fun and engaging resources to ensure your child develops confidence. All lessons are personalised and tailored to your child's needs allowing focus to be on your child's point of needs
Maths Year 7 to VCE
After a brief discussion with your child we establish your child's point of need , whether it be extension, consolidation , intervention work or revision. All lessons are personalized with specific focus given to problematic areas, supporting students to bridge learning gaps, coping with content and allowing them to move forward in their maths class.
We tutor students from year 7 to year 12 in all the sciences. We ensure your child leaves each session with an understanding that gives them the knowledge and confidence to engage in class discussion, ask questions and improve in test results.
